Born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in the small family friendly town of Eagle Pass, TX. She comes from a first generation family of immigrants and is proud to advocate for those who come to the United States in search of opportunity.
Ms. Jimenez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and a minor in History. While completing her undergraduate work, Ms. Jimenez was the co-founder of HEROE (Helping Everyone Reach Opportunity and Education). This organization was comprised of volunteers that reached out to local high school students in low-income schools as tutors and mentors. In the first year that it was established HEROE was voted the fastest growing organization on campus. It grew from four members to over 400 members in the first semester. HEROE also raised scholarships for high school students to go on to higher education.
Ms. Jimenez developed her career in the banking and financial industry at Wells Fargo Bank all the while focusing on her three precious children. In 2007, with a desire to achieve her life –long goal, Ms. Jimenez attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Jimenez repeatedly made the dean’s list and graduated at the top of her class.
Ms. Jimenez was licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 2010 and currently practices in the areas of Immigration and Family Law. She has dedicated her career to advocating fiercely for her clients, whether that is in a family law dispute or for immigrants fighting for a life of opportunity and security in the United States. Her experience includes litigation in both Texas Civil District Courts and in Immigration Court (Executive Office for Immigration Review).
