This is predominantly set by the child support guidelines found in the Texas Family Code. However, you must remember that whether you are the custodial parent (the parent that has custody of the child), or the non-custodial parent (usually the parent paying the child support), the Attorney General’s office does not represent you, either of you, as individuals.
